On the show today, Kerby takes a look at the results of yesterday’s primary voting results in Hawaii, Idaho, Michigan and Mississippi.

In the second hour we welcome in-studio award winning director Cyrus Nowrasteh. Nowrasteh has directed The Stoning of Soraya M and The Path to 9/11.  He joins us to discuss his latest movie, The Young Messiah, due for release in theaters this Friday. Also in this hour we hear from Pastor Lewis Hogan, founder of DC Cry and Pastor Rick Curry, National Director of The Sentinel Group. They  tell us more about the upcoming gathering of  a pastor led call to reclaim America’s future.

Cyrus Nowrasteh
Film Director | Screen Writer
Cyrus Nowrasteh has worked in the motion picture and television business for over 25 years as a writer, producer, and director. He has won two PEN Awards, the Orson Welles Award, a Freedom of Expression award, awards at the Toronto, Los Angeles, and Berlin Film Festivals, an NAACP Award, and a MovieGuide Award.

He began his work in series television, most notably on the hit USA Network show La Femme Nikita which he developed, writing the pilot episode. In 2001, he wrote and directed the highly acclaimed cable feature The Day Reagan Was Shot, which starred Richard Dreyfuss as Alexander Haig and was executive-produced by Oliver Stone; the program remains the highest-rated two-hour telefilm to be broadcast on Showtime. Mr. Nowrasteh received the PEN Award for Best Teleplay; the film also received the American Cinema Editors’ Eddie Award. Mr. Nowrasteh again won a PEN Award as screenwriter of the Showtime film 10,000 Black Men Named George, which recounted the history of the Pullman porters.

In 2006, he wrote and produced the controversial ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11, which attracted nearly 28 million viewers. The editing team won an Emmy Award, and the project was nominated for six additional Emmys.

Mr. Nowrasteh co-wrote – with his wife Betsy Giffen Nowrasteh – and directed the feature The Stoning of Soraya M., which was released theatrically in 2009 to strong reviews. Telling the powerful true story of a woman stoned to death in Iran, and of how the story came to world attention, the movie won prizes at film festivals around the world, including the Audience Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival; and was selected for a number of Top 10 lists, including from the MovieGuide Awards. The film was also honored with the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Foreign Motion Picture and the Cinema for Peace Award for Justice at the Berlin Film Festival.

Among his projects in development are The Last Campaign and The Battle of New Orleans.

Pastor Lewis Hogan

For their twenty-five years of marriage, Lewis and Rachel Hogan have served in ministry in a variety of roles. From youth pastoring to church planting, from executive pastor to senior pastor to director of a House of Prayer, from home missionary to founder of a non profit 501C3, Lewis and Rachel have been passionate about the presence of God, the power of prayer, and the cry for revival in our land. UnitedCry, a pastor-led call reclaiming America’s future, has been mandated to start a movement of unified prayer and civic action with pastors and Christian leaders for the purpose of spiritual awakening that reclaims America’s future. In addition, Lewis serve as the Texas Bound4Life directors and the Texas state pastors for the Family Research Council. They are parents of three sons.
Pastor Rick Curry
National Director - The Sentinel Group
Rick Curry was born in Richmond, Kentucky and has been involved in full-time ministry all of his adult life. He preached his first revival at age 16 and accepted his first pastorate at age 20. Rick is married to Jennifer Hamby Curry and they have two married sons who, along with their wives, serve faithfully in the ministry of a church Rick started in Pensacola, FL called King’s Way Church. Rick is currently the National Director of The Sentinel Group and The Journey to Transformation for the United States. In addition he also serves as the Chairman of the Board of The Sentinel Group a ministry founded by George Otis, Jr.. He is the Founding Pastor of King’s Way Church in Pensacola, Florida and King’s Way Church in Manchester, Kentucky. He provides oversight to all of King’s Way affiliate ministries and congregations. Rick is a revivalist and much sought after speaker.
