Sadly, more and more examples are being cited from the U.S. This nation has had its share of presidential assassinations: Abraham Lincoln in 1865, James Garfield in 1881, William McKinley in 1901, and John F. Kennedy in 1963. Add to that the attempted assassinations of Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump. We have also seen the attempted assassination of a Supreme Court justice and threats to others.
