Welcome to another Weekend Edition show. This week Kerby is joined by co-host, Penna Dexter, Debbie Georgatos and guests, Sharron Albertson and Julia Seymour.

Sharron Albertson is from National Life Chain which is a peaceful, prayerful, pro-life, public witness. She will tell us more about Life Chain and its upcoming event of October 4. Julia Seymour is the Assistant Managing Editor for the MRC Business where she analyzes and exposes media bias on a range of economic and business issues.

Penna Dexter is a radio commentator and columnist for various Christian conservative outlets. She is a frequent commentator and guest host for Point of View Radio Talk Show with Kerby Anderson. Her weekly commentaries air on the Moody Broadcasting Network and the Bott Radio Network. Penna’s columns appear at Baptist Press and the Christian Post blog page. Penna is an executive at Todd Dexter & Associates, the integrated marketing consulting company founded by her husband, Todd Dexter.

For eight years she served as Marlin Maddoux’s co-host on Point of View and for two years she co-hosted a daily drive time live broadcast on the Dallas-based Criswell Radio Network.

Penna’s interest in conservative politics and the issues that affect the family began when she was a child working on political campaigns with her parents. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in International Relations. She spent eight years in the banking industry. She and her husband Todd have three children who are in their twenties. They are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Sharron Albertson

Sharron Albertson grew up in Pasadena, California and graduated from Pasadena College (now Point Loma Nazarene University) with a degree in elementary education and communicative arts. She retired from teaching in public school and became director of children’s ministries and then taught English as a Second Language classes for adults. Sharron is active in political campaigns for conservative, Christian candidates and is past president of Golden Corridor Republican Women in Collin County, Texas. As Way & Means and Directory chair, she recruits support and produces an annual directory.She spends hundreds of hours on the phone as Texas Life Chain state director and as LifeChain.net coordinator helping to verify Life Chains across the U.S. and Canada for the first and last Sundays of October in more than 1580 cities and towns – many with multiple locations so that 1900 are listed on http://LifeChain.net. Her husband, Howard Albertson, is a retired computer consultant who provides computer support for her projects. They have four grown children and 15 grandchildren.

Julia Seymour is the Assistant Managing Editor for the MRC Business where she analyzes and exposes media bias on a range of economic and business issues. Seymour has also appeared on Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network and the Christian Broadcasting Network and has been an in-studio guest on the G. Gordon Liddy Show. She has also done hundreds of radio interviews on a wide-range of topics with stations in more than 35 states as well as many nationally syndicated programs. Her work has appeared or been mentioned by radio host Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, The Drudge Report, WorldNetDaily, USA Today, CNBC.com, Motley Fool and “Ted, White and Blue” by Ted Nugent. Prior to joining BMI in 2006, she was a staff writer for Accuracy in Academia where she wrote about bias in lower and higher education and contributed to the book “The Real MLA Stylebook.” She holds a B.S. in Mass Communications: Print Journalism from Liberty University.
