Court Rules in Favor of Invocations
County sued for legislative invocations led by commissioners

Each monthly meeting of the nine-member Board of Commissioners in Jackson County, Michigan, begins with an invocation given by one of the county commissioners. However, in 2013, Jackson County was sued by a plaintiff who contended that these legislative invocations violated the U.S. Constitution’s Establishment Clause. A federal district court ruled in favor of Jackson County . . .
Crusade Against Catholic Judges
U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein again is coming awfully close to expressing anti-Catholic bigotry and close to imposing an unconstitutional "religious test" upon federal judges. Outrageously, several fellow Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are following her lead.

In a committee hearing Wednesday on the nomination of Notre Dame Law School Professor Amy Coney Barrett for a spot on the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Feinstein and her Democratic colleagues pelted Barrett with questions about her Catholic faith and its relation to duties as a federal judge.
DACA on Shaky Ground
The constitutionality of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals has been in question for years. The Obama-era program established criteria for illegal aliens who entered the U.S. as minors to be shielded from deportation if meet all the requirements. For $495, an illegal alien, if granted a deferment, could then be eligible for work and study permits. The renewal process is every two years. To obtain a deferment, DACA applicants need to provide sensitive information, along with document proving that they’re here illegally. It was suppose to be a stopgap measure, albeit one that looks a lot like something Congress should have passed. Concerning its legality, even Democrats, like Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) think the whole executive order under Obama is on legal shaky ground.
Rise of Violent Antifa
Law enforcement says they haven’t seen violence like this since the 1960s. The left-wing anarchist group Antifa is escalating its violence around the country against people and movements they consider pure evil. Antifa considers their targets “the living embodiment, they are the second coming of Hitler,” in the words of one member.

The group says it wants to stop “fascists.” Antifa “is any group that’s willing to stand up against fascists by any means necessary,” said one activist interviewed by CNN.

This includes the white supremacists and neo-Nazis it calls the “alt-right,” but the group also directs its violence at conservatives. In fact Antifa’s enemy is really anyone who is not left wing. They want “to take on government and capitalism” as well as the alt-right, said CNN’s reporter.
