Janet A. Morana is the Executive Director of Priests for Life and Co-Founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. A former New York City public school teacher, since 1989 she has held numerous roles in the national pro-life movement. She travels extensively, giving pro-life training seminars for clergy and laity. In 2003, she addressed the Pro-Life Caucus of the U.S. House on life issues. In 2009, the international Legatus organization honored her with the Cardinal John O'Connor Pro-life Hall of Fame Award. She is the co-host of Defending Life and The Catholic View for Women on EWTN, and the best-selling author of Recall Abortion, published in 2013 by Saint Benedict Press. Her new book, Shockwaves: Abortion's Wider Circle of Victims, was published in January 2018 by Catholic Book Publishing. A native of Brooklyn, she holds a master’s degree in education from St. John’s University

As the Executive Director of Real Impact for over 17 years, Gina’s primary focus has been to educate, equip, and encourage Christians to take a stand on important social and cultural issues. She sees this ministry being at the intersection of faith, family, and religious freedom. Gina’s energies are concentrated on informing the Church about state and federal legislation, educating and equipping voters, as well as establishing church ministries across the state and nation that will encourage and lead their congregation to be well-informed citizens.

Gina has been a key promoter of several California state-wide initiatives. Her current focus is the campaign to defeat Proposition 1 on the November ballot. This proposed constitutional amendment would enshrine a woman’s right to an abortion, including late-term abortion, into the California Constitution.

Gina has served as the California Faith Engagement Leader for candidates such as Larry Elder for California Governor in 2021, John Cox for California Governor in 2018, and Senator Ted Cruz for President in 2016. She was formerly a Delegate to the California Republican Party and a past president of California’s Chino Valley Federation of Republican Women.

Married over 45 years, Gina and her husband John have been blessed with three children and six grandchildren.

In recent decades, hundreds of thousands of Californians and billions of dollars of wealth fled California for far freer states.

Even many voters who call themselves “pro-choice” on the issue of abortion have concerns when underage girls are involved.

Based on a simple reading, Proposition 1 would seem to push California abortion law far left by allowing pregnancy termination right up until birth. Could that be correct?
