  • Texas is tied for 11th lowest COVID Fatality rate in the U.S.
  • Texas is averaging more than 50,000 COVID tests per day.
  • Texas has the 27th lowest COVID case rate in the U.S.
  • 21% of Texas’ hospital beds are available.
  • 67.8% of Texas’ ventilators are available.
  • Texas COVID positivity rate has been flat for 10 days.
  • 99.0% of Travis County residents don’t have the virus.
  • 99.2% of Harris County residents don’t have the virus.
  • 99.2% of Bexar County residents don’t have the virus.
  • 99.0% of Dallas County residents don’t have the virus.
  • 99.3% of Tarrant County residents don’t have the virus.
  • 18% of beds and 65% of ventilators are available in Dallas County.
  • 15% of beds and 58% of ventilators are available in Harris County.

While many seem to suggest that Texas is in bad shape, they aren’t telling the whole story. The fact is Texas is one of the safest places to be during the pandemic. We should all be cautious, but we are not in the desperate crisis and overburdening hospital beds like many in the media and officials claim.
