The new year has brought a sudden shift in the so-called mainstream punditry as they reluctantly realize that the ship of the Biden administration has plowed into an avoidable political iceberg, and is sinking fast.  

“The bedrock of the American republic is that elections must be free, fair, accurate and trusted.” So states Mollie Hemingway in her important book, “Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections” (2021). I spoke with Mollie on the radio when her book came out.  

As usual, the media coverage on the Ukraine crisis is largely inadequate. Perversely, most of the aggressive left-wing media want to escalate the feud with Russian President Vladimir Putin to the point of driving Russia into the arms of China. This is the only way Russia (whose GDP is smaller than Canada’s) could seriously damage the West.  

They burned political capital to question the legitimacy of the next elections and lay the foundation for an assault on our traditions of governance.  

The military-industrial complex and its clients sprinkled throughout both political parties seem to have decided that the next place we need to go and kill people (or at least sell weapons to help others kill people) is Ukraine, assuming that Russia decides to slice off a section of its former province.

It’s that time once again when we see multiple news stories about how great the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is doing.  Don’t you believe it. The real story has always been how Obamacare has failed to live up to Democrats’ sales pitch.  

It seems President Biden can’t buy a good headline these days, which is a wonder. He’s been using taxpayer money to try to buy just about everything else. But his legislative overreach – trying to do too much, too fast, with too little support – is tanking, as are his poll numbers.

The Bremerton (WA) School District suspended, and later fired, Coach Kennedy over his silent, 15-second prayer. First Liberty Institute filed a lawsuit against the school district, Kennedy v. Bremerton School District. A federal district court upheld Coach Kennedy’s termination.
