Welcome to our Weekend Edition with host Kerby Anderson. For the first hour he is joined in the studio by Parker Eng and David Rives. They’ll talk about Day 4 & the Wonder Center. And they’ll probably mention the eclipse coming on Monday (grin). In the final 15 minutes Kerby and Parker speak with Astronaut Jeffery Williams.

Kerby’s co-host in the second hour is Jeff Mateer from First Liberty Institute and Liberty McArtor from the Know Why Podcast joins them by phone.

Jeff Mateer is the Chief Legal Officer of First Liberty Institute, where he serves as a member of the executive leadership team and oversees and directs First Liberty’s legal operations, including its litigation, media/communications, and external affairs teams. He rejoined First Liberty Institute in October 2020 after serving as First Assistant Attorney General of Texas from March 2016 through October 2020.

Jeff has served in the legal field for over 30 years, and in addition to having received an A-V rating by Martindale-Hubbell, Jeff has been honored as a Texas Rising Star and Texas Super Lawyer. He received his undergraduate education at Dickinson College, where he graduated with honors in 1987, and his legal education at Southern Methodist University, where he graduated with honors in 1990. He is licensed to practice law by the state of Texas and is admitted to practice before all Texas State and Federal District Courts, the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Parker obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Real Estate and Marketing from Baylor University in 1993. He has been a real estate asset manager for over 30 years and is currently owner of Jill Parker Real Estate (residential brokerage) and Reallegiance Real Estate (commercial development). A Christian since elementary school, Parker has always had a passion for encouraging Christians to build their faith and sharing the love of Christ and Gospel with others. Parker currently sits on the board of several Christian ministries including Probe Ministries, Ask Nova, and now Worship In Motion & Day 4 Astronomy. He is a former member of the Texas Astronomical Society and has been an amateur astronomer for over 20 years. Parker and Jill, his wife of over 18 years, are decades long members of Prestonwood Baptist Church where Parker is a deacon and also director for Kerby Anderson’s Examine Sunday School Class for over 14 years.
