Andy attended Dallas Theological Seminary, where he served on the administration and faculty. He was the first executive director of the Center for Christian Leadership. While working for the Seminary, he started attending Grace Bible Church. He left the seminary to return to business for a few years, but then joined the staff at Grace as the Associate Pastor in 1993. In 2002 he became the Senior Pastor.
He has two grown daughters who are married and five grandchildren. Andy has many interests including studying leadership and history, enjoying jazz music and cheering the Longhorns.
Andy believes followers of Christ should take themselves less seriously, while taking the Lord much more seriously.
Lucas and Carrie started attending Grace Bible Church in the summer of 2006 after moving to Dallas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. While completing his Th.M., Lucas interned at Grace and then served as the youth pastor. In 2013 he left Grace to serve as the teaching pastor at GVF (Grace Valley Fellowship) in the greater Philadelphia area. After three years of living on the East Coast (and loving it), he returned to Grace to serve as the Pastor of Family Ministries.
Lucas is married to Carrie and they have three sons, Gabriel, Jude, and Eli, and a daughter, Elle. He loves reading all kinds of books, laughing and playing with his kids, sitting quietly with Carrie on the couch once the kids are (finally) in bed, and lots of other things. Mostly, he's passionate about the grace of God expressed through the message of the Gospel.
Ministries and is the author of two books, including his latest, Saving Truth:
Finding Meaning and Clarity in a Post-Truth World. For most of his life, Abdu
was a proud Muslim who studied the Qur’an and Islam. After a nine-year
investigation into the historical, philosophical, and scientific underpinnings of
the major world religions and views, Abdu discovered that the historic
Christian faith can answer the questions of the mind and the longings of the
heart.
Abdu has spoken to diverse international audiences and has participated in
debates and dialogues across the globe. He has appeared as a guest on
numerous radio and television programs all over the world.
Abdu holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and earned his Juris Doctor from the
University of Michigan Law School. As an attorney, Abdu was named several times in Best Lawyers in
America and Michigan Super Lawyer. Abdu is the Scholar in Residence of Christian Thought and
Apologetics at the Josh McDowell Institute of Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
This cultural phenomenon led the compilers of the Oxford English Dictionary to name "post-truth" their word of the year in 2016. How can Christians offer truth and clarity to a world that shuns both?
By accurately describing the Culture of Confusion and how it has affected our society, author Abdu Murray seeks to awaken Westerners to the plight we find ourselves in. He also challenges Christians to consider how they have played a part in fostering the Culture of Confusion through bad arguments, unwise labeling, and emotional attacks.
Ultimately, Saving Truth provides arguments from a Christian perspective for the foundations of truth and how those foundations apply to sexuality, identity, morality, and spirituality. For those enmeshed in the culture of confusion, the book offers a way to untangle oneself and find hope in the clarity that Christ offers.
