John Guandolo is the Founder of UnderstandingtheThreat.com, an organization dedicated to providing strategic and operational threat-focused consultation, education, and training for federal, state and local leadership and agencies, and designing strategies at all levels of the community to defeat the enemy.

Mr. Guandolo is a 1989 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy who took a commission as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps. He served with 2d Battalion 2d Marines as an Infantry Platoon Commander in combat Operations Desert Shield/Storm. From 1991-1996, he served in 2d Force Reconnaissance Company as a Platoon Commander, Assistant Operations Officer, and the unit’s Airborne and Diving Officer. During this time, he also deployed to the Adriatic/Bosnia. He served for one year as the Unit Leader for the CINC’s In-Extremis Force, directly reporting to a Combatant Commander in a classified mission profile. Mr. Guandolo was a combat diver, military free-fall parachutist, and a graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger School.

John Trent, Ph.D., is President and Founder of StrongFamilies.com, a ministry committed to building strong relationships in these stressful times. In addition to building family teams, Dr. Trent regularly speaks to corporate America on teambuilding, recruiting and retaining outstanding employees. He has written numerous articles and has authored and co-authored more than a dozen books for both adults and children, including Love For All Seasons, The Language of Love, and The Blessing. He and his wife, Cynthia, live in Scottsdale, Ariz., and have two grown daughters.

Dewey Wilson, Ph.D., is founder and CEO of Strong Marriages. In addition to public speaking and teaching, he is a contributing author for Focus on the Family in Jim Daly's book entitled, The Best Advice I Ever Got On Marriage, and co-authored their latest book on parenting entitled, The Relationally Intelligent Child with Dr. John Trent, published by Northfield Publishing. Dr. Wilson has also written the majority of resources for Strong Marriages, along with creating an extensive online personality assessment entitled, "The Connect Assessment." He and his wife Lynne live in Dallas, TX and have two married daughters, one grandchild and another grandbaby on the way.

The mission of Understanding the Threat (UTT) is to empower citizens, elected officials and police to dismantle the Marxist/communist and jihadi networks inside the United States and re-establish America’s founding principles in their communities.
