California and the Expanding Culture of Death
Starting tomorrow California will join Washington and Oregon to complete an entire West Coast sweep. Our coastal distinctive is that we are an area that has bought into the lie of euthanasia as "death with dignity" instead of what it is: legally allowing some human beings to kill other human beings, or providing them with the means to kill themselves. Californians passed legislation that will go into effect tomorrow, increasing the size of the groups of innocent human beings that we have determined it is morally permissible to kill.
Target’s shareholder Meeting
Shareholders’ meetings can be unpredictable affairs, veering from dollars-and-cents topics like executive compensation to stickier questions of corporate culture and values. On Wednesday, a conservative group used big-box retailer Target’s annual gathering to press the chain about its stance in the recent debate about which public bathrooms transgender people should use.

In April, Target published a statement saying that as part of a commitment to inclusion and equality, it invited customers and employees to use the dressing rooms and bathrooms in its stores that correspond to their gender identities. That announcement came as public debate was at a fever pitch over a newly-passed law in North Carolina requiring transgender people to use public bathrooms that correspond to their birth gender.
Target Shareholders Confront CEO on Transgender Bathrooms
Shareholders at a recent Target corporate meeting pressing CEO Brian Cornell to explain the new bathroom policy that allows males and females to choose which facility to use, based on their selected gender identity for the day, came up woefully short – the only answer they received was rooted in the perceived need for more diversity, according to one at the gathering who opened the line of questioning.

“Target’s shareholder meeting was appalling from beginning to end,” said National Center Free Enterprise Project director Justin Danhof, in a statement. “Liberal corporate leaders such as Cornell throw around the words ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion” so much they are starting to lose their meaning. In addition to my question, two other shareholders also expressed concern over the company’s offensive bathroom policy. Cornell just kept repeating the same vacuous lines about diversity and inclusion. He doesn’t seem to get that he has offended the sensibilities of millions of Americans.”
Prosecutors Drop one of two charges faced by pro-life investigator David Daleiden
Houston prosecutors have dropped one of two charges faced by pro-life investigator David Daleiden, stemming from his investigation of Planned Parenthood.

County Court at Law Judge Diane Bull threw out a misdemeanor count of trafficking in human organs.

“Judge Diane Bull’s swift dismissal of the bogus charge against CMP founder David Daleiden of trafficking human organs is the latest confirmation that the indictments from a runaway grand jury in Houston were a politically motivated sham all along,” the Center for Medical Progress said in a statement.

“The dismissal of the first indictmen [on Monday] sends a strong message to Planned Parenthood and their political cronies that colluding to suppress the First Amendment rights of citizen journalists will never work.”
