The Truth about Us: The Very Good News about How Very Bad We Are
What would happen if you admitted you weren't a good person?

Hansen draws from biblical insight and the work of everyone from esteemed social psychologists to comedians to make his point: the sooner we get over ourselves, give up the "I'm good" internal dialogue, and admit the truth, the sooner we can live a more lighthearted, fruitful, fun-loving life.

This book is about the freedom of childlike humility. After all, as Hansen writes, the humble life is truly your best one.

Ben Bennett
Director of Resolution - Josh McDowell Ministry & Cru
Ben Bennett grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and met Christ at an early age. For years, Ben experienced deep anger, a porn addiction, and mental health issues like anxiety and depression, before finding hope and healing through biblical, neuroscientific, and psychological solutions.
Until recently, Ben worked with the U.S. Campus Ministry of Cru serving as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator for porn addiction recovery groups. He currently serves with Josh McDowell Ministry (A Cru Ministry) as an author, speaker, and the Director of Resolution–a new global initiative helping youth overcome hurts and struggles, and thrive in life with Jesus and others. He resides in Dallas, Texas, and enjoys traveling, music, and the finest of craft coffees.
Resolution Podcast
More than any of the three preceding generations, Gen Z (those born between 1999 and 2015) are dealing with astronomical levels of:

Depression and anxiety
Body image issues
Pornography addiction
Suicide
And though the Bible contains help for all of these issues, only 4% of Gen Z has allowed God’s Word to shape the way they view the world.

That means, in their struggles, the next generation doesn't have a grasp of the most significant source of help available: God’s Word!

That’s why the Josh McDowell Ministry is launching its newest initiative, Resolution. Josh and Resolution Director Ben Bennett have started a worldwide movement to address these problems through a combination of neuroscience and the changeless truth of the Bible.

Even though Josh and Ben couldn’t have foreseen COVID-19 when they began planning the launch of Resolution, it is amazing how God sovereignly orchestrated this content. Not only is Resolution relevant to the current state of our culture in 2020, but it is even more relevant in our new normal of sheltering in place, social distancing, and the rise of struggles many are experiencing due to COVID-19.

In their new Resolution Podcast, Josh and Ben pour their knowledge, research, and passion for Gen Z into every episode. Together, they give parents and pastors every tool at their disposal to help young people find freedom.
