A seventh generation Texan, Van Taylor is a family man, businessman, and decorated Iraq War Veteran. Growing up, Van earned his Eagle Scout from the future President George Bush.

On 9-11 Van swore to always serve and make a difference.

Van deployed to Iraq where he fought with 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company. For his service in Iraq, the Marine Corps awarded Captain Taylor the Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, and the Navy Commendation Medal with “V” for valor.

Van and his wife, Anne, married after his return from Iraq and are the proud parents of three young girls: Laura, Helen, and Susie.

From April 2010 to January 2015, Van Taylor represented District 66 in the Texas House of Representatives. From January 13, 2015 – January 3, 2019, Taylor served as a Member of the Texas Senate, representing the Eighth Senate District of Texas. On January 3, 2019, Van Taylor was sworn in as a Member of the United States Congress, representing Texas Third Congressional District.

Congressman Van Taylor is proud to serve on two influential House Committees in the 116th Congress: the Committee on Homeland Security, specifically, the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Innovation (CIPI) and the Subcommittee on Oversight, Management and Accountability (OMA) and the House Committee on Education, where he serves on the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education and the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions.

Today, Van, his wife, and their three daughters reside in Plano near the land Van’s great-grandfather farmed during the Great Depression.

He is William Marcellus McPheeters Professor of Old Testament Emeritus at Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA, and past President of the Society of Biblical Literature.

David P. Ingerson is an exciting communicator who has spoken to audiences around the world. During his twenty years as a U.S. Air Force officer and pilot he traveled extensively and lived abroad with his family. From the time he was ordained as a teacher and evangelist while serving in Okinawa, Japan, he has trained and led teams on short-term missions to the Philippines and Cambodia declaring the Good News with compelling, inspirational stories. As a corporate pilot he has traveled to nearly every country on five continents and takes with him great respect and appreciation for the myriad of cultures.
Having suffered his own share of trials and setbacks as an entrepreneur, he encourages both employees and customers to rise above life’s difficulties and griefs.

David and his wife, Kathleen, are the parents of five children and make their home in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Kathleen Ingerson, grandmother of three, mother of five, bachelor of science nurse, holds audiences spell-bound with her inspirational passion for Christ and His Word. Raised on a dairy farm in Michigan, she drove her father’s tractor, pulling the hay bailer, from age five, while he stacked the square bales. Since she was not strong enough to turn the tractor around at the end of each row, no matter how nervous she became when approaching the end of the hayfield, her father never failed to come forward, over the tractor tongue connecting the trailer to bailer to tractor, arriving just in time to reach over her shoulders and turn the tractor around to start bailing the next row. “My earthly father’s model of faithfulness taught me to trust my Heavenly Father who likewise arrives just in time—to glorfy Himself.” Kathleen has served as nurse on short-term missions teams to the Philippines and routinely hosts worldwide missionaries providing comfortable lodging and delicious meals.Despite innumerable medical challenges Kathleen inspires others with genuine hospitality and grace. She, and husband David, enjoy hosting
the Christians in Action Missions International missionaries, as well as their children and grandchildren, making their home in Fresno, California.
