During the height of Lakewood Church’s growth, Chantel was on staff serving on the ministry team and helping to establish systems and processes that produced standardization, sustainability, and efficiency across all ministry areas. In addition to serving on the ministry team, one of Chantel’s roles at Lakewood Church was Volunteer Coordinator for the Joel Osteen Ministries “Night of Hope” events held all over the nation. She trained and led hundreds of volunteers to serve in first impression capacities for the events.
Chantel also worked for a local non-profit organization serving as the project manager and director of operations. She had a team of 150 plus volunteers that assisted with ministry events & conferences, community outreaches, and fundraising galas. Chantel has established and led intercessory prayer teams for churches and non-profits, has written a prayer curriculum, and has taught at conferences, churches, and small group events. For many year’s Chantel has shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ in global humanitarian and evangelistic work in Africa and Central America. She has a heart for the broken, the unloved, and those that feel hopeless.
In her free time, Chantel enjoys dancing. She is trained in several styles including Cuban Salsa, Detroit Ballroom, Bop, and Chop. One of her favorite quotes is by William W. Purkey; “you’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth.”
If you have struggled with a sense of self-worth and direction in your life, or if you have a friend, colleague, or family member who is searching for meaning in a world of suffering, chaos, and uncertainty, Why You Matter will give you confidence that your life matters--but maybe not for the reasons you think.
