Brent Bennett, Ph.D., is the policy director for Life:Powered, an initiative of the Texas Public Policy Foundation to raise America’s energy IQ.
As part of the Life:Powered team, Dr. Bennett regularly speaks with policymakers, energy experts, and industry associations across the country. He is responsible for researching, fact-checking, and spearheading many of the team’s policy and regulatory initiatives. He has written extensively on how America has improved its environment while growing its energy use and on future energy technologies.
Dr. Bennett has an M.S.E. and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in physics from the University of Tulsa. His graduate research focused on advanced chemistries for utility-scale energy storage systems. Prior to joining the Foundation, Dr. Bennett worked for a startup company selling carbon nanotubes to battery manufacturers, and he continues to provide technology consulting to energy storage companies.
As a native of Midland, Texas—the heart of the oil patch—Dr. Bennett is a passionate student of energy and proponent of freedom and human flourishing. He currently lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Erin, and their son, Jack.

Jeanne Mancini was appointed to the role of President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund in the fall of 2012. She proudly directs the iconic organization committed to restoring a culture of life in the United States, most notably through the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. and through the growing State March for Life program.

In her role as President of the March for Life, Jeanne’s responsibilities include frequently speaking to students, pro-life groups, churches, pregnancy care centers and other groups nationally and internationally. She serves as a consultant to the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops Pro-Life Committee. She has testified before the U.S. Congress and regularly consults, meets with and presents to state and federal elected officials, including at the White House and Department of Justice.

Previously Jeanne worked with the Family Research Council (FRC), where she focused on issues related to the inherent dignity of the human person, including abortion, women’s health, and end-of-life issues. Prior to FRC Jeanne worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the Office of the Secretary. Her federal government experience includes global health policy, as well as domestic and international health care issues.

Jeanne has made frequent media appearances including interviews on MSNBC, CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS, and others. Jeanne’s writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News and World Report, USA Today, the Washington Post and numerous others publications.

Jeanne’s pro-life work was included in the 2019 book, “Activists: Portraits of Courage” by KK Ottesen. In 2020 Jeanne was honored by the Sisters of Life as the recipient of the annual Cardinal O’Connor Award. In 2021 Jeanne received the St. John Paul II New Evangelization Award from the Catholic Information Center.

Jeanne holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from James Madison University and a Master’s degree in the theology of marriage and family from the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. Jeanne resides in northern Virginia with her husband, David.

Melissa Henson is a noted expert on entertainment industry trends and the impact of entertainment media on children and American culture at large. As the Parents Television and Media Council’s Program Director, she directs the organization’s educational programs, research, and advocacy for a safe media environment for children and families. The PTC is a non-partisan education organization advocating responsible entertainment.
During her 24-year tenure at the PTC, Ms. Henson has championed the protection of children from harmful media that Hollywood markets to them. From leading the PTC’s Advertiser Accountability Program, she has urged corporate accountability from sponsors of entertainment media. Ms. Henson has mobilized grassroots members of the PTC to urge enforcement of the broadcast indecency law. She has tackled issues of child sexual exploitation in the media, and urged Hollywood to present more positive, empowering images of girls in the media through the PTC’s “4 Every Girl” Campaign.

Ms. Henson produced a number of groundbreaking PTC studies documenting graphic sex, violence and profanity on television and in streaming media. And she has added her expertise to a national discussion on media violence at a 2018 White House roundtable discussion with President Trump, Congressional leaders, and representatives of the entertainment industry. She represented the PTC’s “4 Every Girl” Campaign in a United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women panel discussion to address the sexualization of girls that was hosted by AXIOS-Mision Mujer, a Mexican NGO, and the American Psychological Association (APA).

She began her career with the PTC in 1997 as an entertainment analyst, documenting instances of inappropriate content on television.

Ms. Henson is a sought-after entertainment expert and has appeared on a variety of TV programs. She is a frequent guest on radio talk shows across the country and has been quoted extensively in many news sources.
Ms. Henson is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she received a BA in Government. She resides in Falls Church, Va., with her husband and their son.
