Week of Thanks - Day 4

Written by Kerby Anderson November 23 - 2016
“We give thanks to God not because of how we feel, but because of Who He is.” - Ann Voskamp
Most of us have experienced a time when God seemed far away from us. We can identify with David as he writes “O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; by night, but I have no rest” (Psalm 22:2). In those times, we give thanks to Him by faith, knowing that He is always near (Psalm 139) and stand upon the promise that if we will draw near to Him, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). Recognizing who He is and acknowledging His power by giving Him praise builds our faith and trust in Him, especially when that praise is an act of faith that goes against our feelings. Please take a moment and share what you are thankful for. [powr-comments id=496aa8c9_1479503891688]
