Konni Burton
Konni Burton
Senator - Texas Senate District 10
Born in Kerrville, Konni was raised in the small town of Banquete where her father was the high school principal and her mom the school secretary. Konni graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She and her husband, Phil, met at UNT and raised their two daughters in Tarrant County. Senator Burton previously owned a wedding consulting business.

Since 2008, Konni has been active behind-the-scenes in helping conservative candidates get elected at all levels of government. As senator, Konni is a steadfast advocate for the rights and liberties of individuals, ensuring those enshrined in the U.S. Bill of Rights are protected at the state level. Konni is a small-government legislator, believing each level of government has limited, defined roles in which they should operate. A fiscal conservative, she works to direct spending to core functions of government and works to reduce both taxes and spending.

During the 84th Texas Legislature, Senator Burton worked with both House members and Senators to pass a large criminal justice reform package. Konni does not hesitate to cross party lines to pass legislation which protects the constitutional rights of all Texans.

Debby Efurd
Co-founder and President - Initiative180
After a diverse career in the Dallas-area public and private sectors, Debby Efurd found her true calling in ministry in 2011 by offering recovery Bible studies to the post-abortive community. Until 2013, she served as director of post-abortion support for Involved for Life (Downtown Pregnancy Center, Uptown Women’s Center and Sonograms on Site) in Dallas, Texas.

Today, Debby is co-founder and president of the collective ministries of Initiative 180 and its program of abortion recovery, Peace After the Storm. Established in 2014, these ministries reach out to the largest demographic in our culture—the post-abortive community—to provide counseling and support to those suffering the emotional pain of abortion. Initiative 180 and Peace After the Storm also assist churches and communities in the development of abortion-recovery programs. A highly sought-after speaker, Debby educates others through appearances at colleges, seminaries, churches and professional organizations. She is active with various pro-life organizations and Operation Outcry.

Debby graduated cum laude from Dallas Baptist University with a B. A. in Counseling. She has written numerous articles published in LifeNews, the Christian Post and the Baptist Standard, and is the author of Go Tell It! (Clovercroft—September 2015).

Debby and her husband live in Duncanville, Texas, and have three married children and six grandchildren.
Go Tell It!: How a Surrendered Life Can Transform Lives and the World One Story at a Time
Debby Efurd’s fondest memories as a child was spent with her grand¬mother for story time. Fairy tales, fables, stories from her youth . . . they swept Debby away to another world. As one story ended, Debby would beg for more.

When she was older, Debby fell in love with Bible stories and was ea¬ger to hear stories in Sunday School about Joseph or David or Moses. Then one day she heard the Greatest Story Ever Told and met and fell in love with the Main Character―Jesus Christ. That made all the difference.
Lisa Luby Ryan
Lisa Luby Ryan
Lisa Luby Ryan wanted the perfect life: children who adored her and a husband that would protect, guide and love her. But things didn’t turn out that way.

She had been sexually abused at a young age, lived in a chaotic home and wasn’t loved by her parents. Honesty, trust and a wholesome relationship between a man and a woman simply wasn’t Lisa’s reality. As she went through life, through relationships and men and a broken family of her own, she knew in her mind that “All I wanted was to be loved.” But God asked her the question, “How can I heal you when you’re not willing to heal yourself? Are you willing confront your secrets and give it all up to me?”

Are you willing to give it all up? Are you willing to be healed? Lisa had to confess her past; a life of affairs, abortion, divorce, and neglect. She freed herself by facing the truth and God was faithful to restore the broken pieces.
