Shapri LoMaglio

Leader | Advocate — CCCU

Shapri D. LoMaglio leads the CCCU’s response to legislative, legal, and regulatory matters on behalf of its more than 180 institutions of Christ-centered higher education. She advocates on their behalf in Washington, D.C. on a wide range of policy issues rooted in their shared faith. This includes ensuring access to higher education for all persons regardless of their economic status or background, stewarding the environment, protecting the most vulnerable members of society, and promoting and preserving the principles of religious freedom that allow CCCU institutions to flourish not in spite of their faith, but because of it. LoMaglio also leads the CCCU’s external relations team, making the case for Christian higher education’s valuable contributions to society and pursuit of faith and intellect for the common good. She writes and speaks on issues of religious liberty, higher education, and the interplay between faith, politics, and culture. LoMaglio is a graduate of CCCU member institution Gordon College (Wenham, Mass.) and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona (Tucson). She is licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona. Prior to the CCCU, she served as a Legal Fellow in the United States Senate. Shapri volunteers by serving on a variety of non-profit boards and mentoring youth through her church.
