Dr. Weinberg has practiced medicine for almost 50 years and has extensive international experience. He is currently a professor and a medical administrator. In the 1980s he lived in both Haiti and Africa (The Congo) while serving as a medical missionary. From 2001-2006 he served in the George W. Bush administration. He was the Associate Director and the Medical Director of the U.S. Government Peace Corps. He was directly responsible for the health and well-being of over 20,000 Peace Corps Volunteers who were living and working in over 80 developing nations. While in this position he dealt with many diseases including the first SARS outbreak, Ebola in Africa, malaria worldwide, the anthrax situation in Washington DC, and HIV everywhere. He had over 200 medical professionals reporting to him. Dr. Weinberg also has a law degree and has practiced health care law for over 30 years.
He and Vicki have been married almost four decades, have three children, and six grandchildren. They have been members of First Colleyville for 30 years.
