Ryan Sanders is an opinion journalist and member of the editorial board at The Dallas Morning News. He has written for The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, The Daily Wire, LifeWay Voices, Facts & Trends, and Deacon Magazine. He has a bachelors degree in journalism from Texas A&M University and a masters in biblical and theological studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Ryan was ordained in a nondenominational church where he served for 10 years before dropping from the first estate to the fourth in 2020. He lives in Irving, Texas with his wife, two teenaged children, and a Beagle named after Scout Finch.
