Barbara Kolm is the founder of the Free Market Road Show, Director of the Austrian Economics Center, President of the Hayek Institut and Professor of Austrian Economics at the University of Donja Gorica in Montenegro. Until her election to the National Council in October 2024, she served on several supervisory boards in the Insurance and Finance Industry e.g. Vice President of the Austrian Central Bank, Supervisory Board of Wiener Städtische Wechselseitiger Versicherungsverein – Vermögensverwaltung - Vienna Insurance Group. She directs the worldwide first UN United 4 Smart Sustainable Cities National Hub in Austria and was appointed Vice-Chair of the UN ITU Focus Group on Environmental Efficiency for Artificial Intelligence and other Emerging Technologies (AI4EE). She is the recipient of various accolades and widely declared a pathfinder in liberty-based ideals on the European front
