John Schlitt is one of the most recognizable voices in Christian rock. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has earned multiple GRAMMY and Dove Awards, toured internationally, and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame as the lead singer of Petra, one of the most successful Christian rock bands in history.

Before joining Petra in 1986, Schlitt fronted the legendary rock band Head East, whose hit “Never Been Any Reason” remains a classic rock staple. Following a personal struggle with addiction and a life-changing encounter with God, he returned to music with a renewed purpose, helping lead Petra through one of the most successful eras in the band's history.

Today, Schlitt continues to record and perform around the world as a solo artist and with Petra. Known for his powerful vocals and enduring influence, he remains one of the most respected and impactful figures in Christian music.
