Garland S. Tucker III is a nationally-acclaimed author and historian. His new book, Conservative Heroes, profiles several leaders who shaped America from our nation’s founding to the modern era. Garland Tucker is a frequent media guest who has appeared on major radio programs locally and nationally, as well as on television networks such as MSNBC and C-SPAN. He and his work have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, National Review, and other leading publications. He is also author of the book, The High Tide of American Conservatism, which analyzed the 1924 election of Calvin Coolidge. Garland Tucker serves as chairman and CEO of Triangle Capital Corporation, a publicly traded specialty finance company located in Raleigh, North Carolina. A former member of the New York Stock Exchange, he serves on the boards of a number of companies, schools, and charitable organizations. He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington and Lee University and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
