Bob has written three books over the last 25 years, and now that he has retired from the United States Air Force he intends to pick up the pace. His most recent book, Buy A Cabin: The Theology and Practice of Rest, was driven not because he was a particularly good rester but because he was a particularly bad one. Like many Americans, in general, and Christians, in particular, rest was a guilty pleasure for him…which made it much less of a pleasure. So he took a long time to ponder and write about the subject. As a result, he has become a much better rester. He has been married for 33 years and has three children and two grandchildren. He is an elder in his church and has a nice little cabin in the mountains.
