As a pro-terrorism scourge has taken hold of college campuses in recent years, exploding in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, Democrats have not only failed to condemn the movement, but they’ve endorsed it.
“They have a point,” former President Joe Biden said about the pro-terrorism mob screaming outside the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
After more than a year of raucous campus calls for a second intifada and marches in New York City, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere – swarming with anti-American activists carrying Hamas flags – the killings have started.
Downtown in the Nation’s Capital, Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, a Jewish American and a German Christian set to be engaged, were gunned down by a leftist agitator for the sake of “freeing Palestine.” As Sarah attempted to escape, crawling on the ground in agony, the terrorist shot her in the back – carrying out an execution.
Last weekend, illegal alien and Egyptian national Mohamed Soliman attempted to murder Americans peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights at a march for hostages in downtown Boulder, Colorado.
The Trump administration quickly sprung into action. The Department of Justice immediately charged Soliman with a federal hate crime, ensuring he wouldn’t be let out of local jail, and the Department of Homeland Security swiftly moved to detain Soliman’s family, all in the country illegally, for immediate deportation.
“Today, @DHSgov and @ICEGov are taking the family of suspected Boulder, Colorado terrorist, and illegal alien, Mohamed Soliman, into ICE custody. This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this heinous attack, if they had knowledge of it, or if they provided support to it,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted on X. “I am continuing to pray for the victims of this attack and their families. Justice will be served.”
What was the response from the left and their friends in the media? Sympathy for the wrong people.
“Boulder suspect’s daughter dreamed of studying medicine. Now she faces deportation,” USA Today wrote. “Habiba Soliman moved to the U.S. hoping to study medicine. Then her father was charged with a hate crime in an attack aimed at peaceful Jewish demonstrators.”
In the first paragraph of the story, USA Today omitted that the Soliman family illegally overstayed visas and that the patriarch of the family lit Americans on fire with homemade bombs.
The simping only gets worse and a federal judge blocked the deportations.
“The important part about due process is if someone has a basis to stay here. They have a legitimate claim for asylum, they’re threatened,” Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser told CNN. “That’s going to get evaluated by an independent fact finder, and that’s how our immigration system should work. It should work based on the facts, based on the law. It shouldn’t be targeting people in ways that are haphazard.”
Haphazard? The deportation is in response to attempted murder, illegal visa overstays, and ejecting anti-Western ideology held by foreigners from the country. Americans should be filing claims of asylum from monsters like Soliman and his family, not subjected to victimhood because political leaders can’t figure out the difference between right and wrong.
Forty-five Americans were murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7 and it’s clear their sympathizers in the West have no plans to prevent additional killings in our streets. The contrast in leadership could not be more clear: Trump officials want terrorism stopped. Democrats are fine with rolling the dice.
