Four states will vote on abortion measures this November.

Within the last few weeks, Massachusetts approved abortion up to birth. Meanwhile, New Jersey passed a law that could target peaceful pro-life sidewalk advocates and counselors. These examples remind us just how important state abortion laws are. In November, four states will vote on abortion related laws.

Consider

It’s unconscionable that in America, a baby’s right to life is not absolutely defended, but dependent on state lines. And yet, that’s exactly the situation that we are in. The Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson in 2022 sent the issue of abortion back to the states, resulting in some states outlawing or severely restricting abortion, and other states allowing abortion through most or all of pregnancy.

This November, four states will be voting on abortion-related laws. In Virginia and Nevada, voters will have the opportunity to affirm or reject abortion as an enshrined “right” in their state constitutions. Idahoans will vote on whether to create a right to “reproductive freedom and privacy.” Missouri has the opportunity to overturn a state constitutional “right” to abortion that was passed in 2024.

There are many fronts in the pro-life battle. As the midterms draw near, let’s pray for Christians and pro-lifers of all backgrounds to stand boldly for life in their own states.

Dear God,

Empower and equip national, state, and local pro-life groups who are attempting to mobilize pro-life voters this November.

Use Your Holy Spirit to convict pastors, ministry leaders, and Christians to talk about the issue of abortion in their spheres of influence.

Raise up a generation of people who value life and are moved to protect the unborn.

Encourage and strengthen the faithful warriors so that they do not grow weary in doing good.
