For too long, the American Right has won the occasional yet significant battle while the Left has settled for nothing less than total victory in the culture war. Consistently, the Left has out-organized, out-fundraised in many cases, and out-advocated to wield raw power whether their agenda is popular or not.

Meanwhile, conservative commentator culture has prioritized content that cultivates outrage and gets clicks, traffic, and advertising dollars. The Right-wing news and opinion-editorial space at large has failed to leverage influencers’ massive platforms to organize grassroots change and propose real solutions that outlast a four-year election cycle. And elected Republicans often prove no more useful than Democrats.

It’s up to us: the people. But what can we do about it? And what precisely is the it we should focus our limited time, attention, money, and energy on?
