Judicial Nominees
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senate Republicans confirmed one federal judge on Thursday and set the stage to confirm five more judges next week, including to federal appeals courts across the nation. While these are victories for President Donald Trump, conservatives caution senators that this week’s developments are a good start, but not enough to satisfy them when it comes to the federal courts.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) filed for cloture on five judicial nominees, one to the federal trial court in Washington, D.C., and the other four to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Sixth, Seventh, and Tenth Circuits. The federal appeals courts are just one step down from the U.S. Supreme Court.

The appellate nominees are: Stephanos Bibas for the Third Circuit, Joan Larsen for the Sixth Circuit, Amy Coney Barrett for the Seventh Circuit, and Allison Eid for the Tenth Circuit.
Sexual Freedom vs. Respect for Women
Oh, how we hate to choose.

We want to be thin, but love our ice cream.

We want to be wealthy, but there’s so much cool stuff to buy!

We hate Washington, but, hey, our Congressman is OK.

And so it goes. Not just with us, but with our culture at large.

Just think about how we view, and treat, women.

Cosmopolitan’s headlines are too disgusting to give examples — but the magazine insists that women deserve respect.

We decry sexual harassment, but pornography is the Web’s biggest seller.
Trump Dossier
Tuesday night the Washington Post broke the story: The infamous ‘Trump Dossier” was paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC.

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about Donald Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

“Helped fund” is putting it euphemistically. The Clinton campaign pushed $6 million to the lawyer tasked with retaining Fusion GPS to gather Russian mud on Trump. The DNC kicked in another $3.6 million. In other words: almost $10 million.
