A Practical Guide to Culture: Helping the Next Generation Navigate Today’s World
We don’t have to lose the next generation to culture. In this practical guide, John Stonestreet and Brett Kunkle explore questions including: What unseen undercurrents are shaping twenty-first-century youth culture? Why do so many kids struggle with identity? How do we talk to kids about same-sex marriage and transgenderism? How can leaders steer kids away from substance abuse and other addictions? How can we ground students in the biblical story and empower them to change the world?

With biblical clarity, this is the practical go-to manual to equip kids to rise above the culture.
Are Love and Truth in Conflict?
For many Americans, the most crucial factor in their Thanksgiving plans is who they’ll have to talk to across the table. More on being Christian in a divided nation. . . .

In the wake of last year’s election, many Americans decided to spend Thanksgiving with friends instead of family. This year, I suspect it will be even worse. After all, once Uncle Bill starts talking about President Trump, or Aunt Sally weighs in on transgenders in the military, or Cousin Phil announces why a Christian baker should or shouldn’t decorate a cake for a gay wedding . . . well, who knows what might happen.

Follow the Master: How Jesus Made Disciples
Jesus took his disciples on a journey-one that transformed them from common men of Galilee into fearless witnesses of the Gospel. They were not significant or influential leaders when he first met them. They were rugged Jewish men from a variety of backgrounds. It was their time with Jesus that made all the difference. Their journey with Jesus began in the Judean desert, along the narrow banks of the Jordan River. If we want to learn how Jesus trained his disciples, we must begin there, at the point of origin.
Follow the Master: A Discipleship Course for Growing Christians
Discipleship is fundamental to the Christian experience. Jesus called and trained his disciples and commissioned them to go and make disciples of others (Matthew 28:19-20). That command compels Christians today and is the primary task of the Church.

This course is designed to help you fulfill Christ’s call to “come and follow me” (Matthew 16:24). These 34 lessons provide the foundational beliefs and behaviors of a mature disciple. Even though this course was created for new Christians, those who have not been intentionally discipled will grow through these lessons. You can use this as a foundation for your own personal Bible study or better yet, study with another Christian or in a group of fellow believers to grow in your knowledge of the Bible and live as mature disciples of Jesus.

NFL Players Kneel and Raise Fists
NFL players across the league protested during the national anthem Sunday in defiance of President Trump, who said that players who kneel during the "The Star-Spangled Banner" should be fired.

Many players sat, kneeled, raised fists or stayed inside locker rooms as the anthem played before each game, and as team owners encouraged players to express themselves. Others locked arms in a show of unity.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who remains unsigned, started the kneeling movement in 2016 to protest racial injustice in America. Activists and critics of the league believe Kaepernick has been blacklisted for his protests. On Sunday, players with the Miami Dolphins wore shirts that read "#ImWithKap" during pregame warm-ups.
The Politicization of Everything
Everybody loses in the Trump-NFL brawl over the national anthem. Healthy democracies have ample room for politics but leave a larger space for civil society and culture that unites more than divides. With the politicization ...
