Today Point of View‘s host is Kerby Anderson! His guest in the first hour is Scott Sonju. Scott is president & CEO of The Hope Center. He joins Kerby to talk about the National Day of Prayer. In the second hour Kerby shares updates on COVID-19  and with wisdom and understanding he brings us the news and current hot issues. Kerby’s final guest is Bruce Herman. Bruce will join Kerby and our show’s producer, Steve Miller, to talk about artists and the Church.

Prior to becoming President & CEO of The Hope Center, Scott served as the President of Neltex Sports, a growing company that owns and operates various sports and entertainment-related properties. Before Neltex Sports, Scott served as longtime President of the Frisco RoughRiders (Double A – Texas Rangers), one of the most successful operations in Minor League Baseball.

Scott earned his MBA at Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management, where he quadruple majored. He also has a History degree from Texas A&M University. For five years he helped run a historic Christian family resort, CAMP-of-the-WOODS, in Upstate New York. While there he created the LIFT Program, a discipleship and leadership development ministry aimed at gap year students. Scott started his career at the Dallas Mavericks where he worked in the sales department for two years.

Scott and his wife Amy have been married for 23 years and have four children: Autumn (19), Mason (17), Whitney (15) and Austin (10). He and his family are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA).

Bruce Herman (American, b. 1953) is a painter and educator living and working in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Herman holds the Lothlórien Distinguished Chair in Fine Arts at Gordon College where he is Professor of Art, and has taught & curated exhibitions since 1984. He completed both undergraduate and graduate fine arts degrees at Boston University College of Fine Arts with graduate work under Philip Guston and James Weeks; undergraduate work with David Aronson, Reed Kay, and Arthur Polonsky.
Herman lectures widely and has had work published in many books, journals, and popular magazines––most recently in Through Your Eyes (Wm. B. Eerdman Books). His artwork has been exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions in eleven major cities including Boston, New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. His work has been exhibited internationally, and in many university galleries throughout the United States and Canada.
