Dr. Christopher Seitz is one of the most insightful and creative biblical theologians working in the field today. Teacher, author, Anglican priest, and an articulate advocate for global communion, at The Cranmer Institute in Dallas, Dr. Seitz serves his loves for the Church, for teaching, and for global renewal through the Anglican Communion Institute, of which he is executive director. Since 2008, Dr. Seitz has been Senior Research Professor of Biblical Interpretation at Wycliffe College, the evangelical and Anglican theological college in the University of Toronto. Before that, he was professor of Old Testament and theological studies at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) and Professor of Old Testament at Yale University. His 15 books include Word Without End, Figured Out, and The Character of Christian Scripture. In his Nicene Christianity: The Future for a New Ecumenism, several world renowned theologians consider the unifying character of the creed in today’s postmodern, ecumenical context.

Although he had no opposition for re-election, he kept his pledge to serve only two terms and left office at the completion of his term in 2004. He was a Republican candidate for the United States Senate in 2002. Since joining FRC in the fall of 2003 he has launched new initiatives to affirm and defend the Judeo-Christian values that this nation is founded upon.
