Spencer Klavan is a scholar, writer, and podcaster, and has harbored a lifelong devotion to the great works and principles of the West. After studying Greek and Latin as an undergraduate at Yale, he spent five years at Oxford University to earn his doctorate in ancient Greek literature. Now an editor at the Claremont Institute, he has written for many outlets, including The Atlantic, the Los Angeles Times, City Journal, Newsweek, the Claremont Review of Books, The Federalist, The American Mind, and The Daily Wire. He lives near Nashville, Tennessee.

Connor graduated from Texas Tech University in 2000, with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He has since graduated with a master’s degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Connor and his wife Mary first began their ministry together as newlyweds, serving as volunteers in the student ministry at First Baptist Church, Coppell. It was during this season that God called Connor into vocational ministry. Connor graduated seminary, sold his business, and began in full-time ministry. Connor was privileged to serve as the Minister to Married Adults at Prestonwood from 2010-2012, then as the Lead Pastor and Elder at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Longview, Texas from 2012-2019. In July 2019, Connor returned to Prestonwood as the North Campus Pastor.
Connor has been married to Mary for 22 years and they have 5 children: Kathryn, Coleman, Libby, Hannah, & Campbell. He is passionate about the local church and believes it is the hope for the world. Additionally, as a family with two special needs children, he has a heart for special needs ministry and is committed to serving and sharing the Gospel with families affected by disabilities.
Connor is the author of two books, including the recently released: “Counted Worthy – A Father’s Perspective on the Theology of Suffering.”
