Gil A. Stricklin, Sr. of Dallas, Texas, is uniquely qualified to minister to the needs of workers. The Founder, Chairman and CEO of Marketplace Ministries Inc., has held many positions, secular and religious, giving him a unique understanding of today’s pressure-filled workplace. With International Headquarters in Plano, Texas, Marketplace Ministries provides an employee care service to businesses nationally and internationally. Stricklin retired in 1994 as a Colonel from the U. S. Army Chaplain Corps, after 37 years as a commissioned officer. He graduated from the Strategic Studies Institute, the Army’s highest education, the National Defense University, and the Command and General Staff College. He spent five years traveling the globe with Dr. Billy Graham, serving as his special assistant, responsible for media relations for the worldwide evangelist. Stricklin speaks for all types of conventions, school events, and businesses as his time permits. Since founding Marketplace in 1984, with one client-company and himself the lone chaplain, Stricklin now oversees a Corporate Chaplain Support Team of 2,828 members who care for more than 574,599 employees and their families through a faith-based Employee Care Service.

After overcoming obstacles of homelessness, hopelessness and gang influence, he became the first in his family to go to college. Today, Gabe travels all over the world speaking at schools, teen conferences, and camps. He speaks at more than 150 teen events a year. And in 2011, he celebrated his 1 millionth student reached. He‘s recognized as America’s #1 Latino Youth Speaker by Popular Hispanic Magazine. Gabe’s message challenges teenagers and encourages them to make positive choices in their lives.
