It's Wednesday. Welcome to Point of View's show with our host Kerby Anderson. He'll spend the first 1/2 hour bringing us the latest on the DSA and the economic pressure on Iran. Kerby's first guest today is Charles "Cully" Stimson from The Heritage Foundation who will talk about the Senate committee’s vote to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt for declining to answer questions about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and use of gain-of-function research.
In the second hour Kerby welcoms back J.P. De Gance who'll discuss Dating Apps. They'll try and answer questions about the Apps and how they're treating people like shoes, and what it means for the Church. To end the show he's excited to welcome Derrick Warfel, a writer, director, and producer. His latest book and documentary film are UFOs and GOD. It's going to be a great show!

J.P. De Gance is the founder and president of Communio and the co-author of “Endgame: The Church’s Strategic Move to Save Faith and Family in America.” De Gance leads Communio’s work equipping pastors with a long-term, data-informed strategy to deepen and broaden engagement in their congregations, using relational health as the engine for church health and spiritual impact. Before launching Communio nationally, De Gance led a three-year, $20 million experimental initiative across three states to test what moves the needle on marital health, family stability and church engagement. Working with an ecumenical network of churches in Jacksonville, FL, that effort helped drive down the local divorce rate by 24% between 2016 and 2018. Today, Communio applies those proven learnings as it partners with churches across the country to build out Full-Circle Relationship Ministry®, uniting Gospel-centered content, practical relationship support and targeted outreach to singles and couples inside and outside the church. Under his leadership, Communio has also commissioned major national research on the hidden drivers behind the decline of Christianity in America, highlighting the collapse of marriage and resident fatherhood as a central factor. That work, along with Communio’s innovative, data-driven support for churches—including a groundbreaking collaboration with Hampton University—helped earn the ministry the Heritage Foundation’s Innovation Prize in 2023. A husband and father, De Gance lives in Virginia with his wife and their eight children.

Derrick Warfel was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the PA Bible Belt. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Princeton University, a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and an MFA in Cinema from the University of Southern California. After eight years on staff with CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ), Derrick spent the next four decades in the film industry, creating and teaching media from a biblical Christian worldview. An award-winning writer, director, and producer, he has completed more than eight feature films and numerous short films. In recent years, Derrick became increasingly concerned by the growing normalization of UFO narratives in popular media—particularly the claim that alleged extraterrestrial messages are guiding humanity toward a new stage of evolution.UFOs and God and its companion feature documentary are his response—a biblical, clear-sighted examination designed to equip the church to recognize and resist the spiritual dangers embedded in these messages.
