Mr. Arrizurieta's responsibilities included managing all government and political relations for the three sports teams and publicly traded companies, which were in their early stages. He was the "corporate lobbyist" for the company. He was also responsible for managing the family foundation that funded the family's charitable and civic engagements in South Florida.
His most notable public sector experience includes serving as United States Alternate Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank. He was nominated by President George W. This position was followed by an appointment by Governor Jeb Bush to execute a Governor-initiated public/private partnership to secure the city of Miami as the seat of the Permanent Secretariat of the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). This was a hemispheric competition to secure Miami as the venue. Throughout his career, Mr. Arrizurieta has always been an active participant in his community serving in various board and leadership positions. He recently completed his 12 years of service on the Board of Trustees of Florida International University, Miami's public research university.
