Ms. Kuykendall brings over 25 years experience in community health education and nonprofit leadership. Prior to joining the staff, she served on the MI Board of Directors, and assisted Dr. McIlhaney in leading the National Coalition for “a new sexual revolution.” Lori earned her B.S. in Community Health Education from Texas A&M University and will complete her Masters in Public Health from Liberty University in December 2020. She served as Prevention Coordinator for the Women’s Pregnancy Center in Houston and later the Executive Director of LifeTalk Resource Center in Frisco. In 1998, she co-founded Fort Bend ALERT (Abstinence Leadership, Education and Resources for Teens), a federal Title V grantee. Most recently, Lori led Aim for Success, Inc., the largest provider of live health education in Texas, which merged with Just Say YES Youth Equipped to Succeed in 2019. She and her husband Chris have four children.

Louis Markos (PhD, University of Michigan), Professor of English and Scholar in Residence at Houston Baptist University, holds the Robert H. Ray Chair in Humanities. He speaks widely on ancient Greece and Rome, Lewis and Tolkien, and apologetics and classical education. His 18 books include From Achilles to Christ, On the Shoulders of Hobbits, Apologetics for the 21st Century, Worldview Guides to the Iliad, Odyssey, and Aeneid, and two children’s novels, The Dreaming Stone and In the Shadow of Troy, in which his kids become part of Greek mythology and the epics of Homer.
