After finding healing from sexual addiction in 2014, Sam began to realize that the issues he had been facing were far from unusual- in fact there were people all around him with similar struggles. Sam and Son Ship now strive to create music that shines light on these struggles, that more people might come forward in honesty and vulnerability to find healing and victory in Christ.
Son Ship's debut album featuring 12 songs based on the 12 steps of recovery was released in 2017 and is available online wherever music is streamed or sold.
