Colonel (Ret.) Michael Love, a native of Louisville, Tennessee, served 27 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, retiring in 2007 after a career defined by leadership, service, and strategic responsibility.

A Marine aviator and Weapons & Tactics Instructor, he commanded at both the squadron and group levels. His operational service included the Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, along with senior staff assignments at U.S. Central Command and the Pentagon.

At U.S. Central Command, he contributed to Middle East policy initiatives, served as Deputy Assistant Director for the Policies & Plans Directorate, and led efforts to resource and oversee the training and establishment of the Afghanistan National Army. During his Pentagon tour, he served as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Commandant for Aviation.

Following retirement from active duty, Michael spent 13 years with Rockwell Collins as Business Development Manager supporting United States Special Operations Command.

Since 2010, he has led Bible studies and mentored men toward intentional, Christ-centered living. He holds a graduate certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, and master’s degrees from Webster University and the National War College.

In 2025, he published Seasons of Strength and is currently writing Your Next Mission: Civilian Life, addressing the challenges of transitioning from military service. He and his wife, Doris, have been married for 44 years and are active members of First Baptist Concord Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
