Michele served the United States for ten years, working in Iraq and secret locations in the Middle East. Upon retirement, Michele and her husband Joseph (also a former agent) joined a group of Americans who aided in the evacuation of a group of persecuted Christians from Northern Iraq-a story featured on ABC’s 20/20 in December 2015.
