In the first hour, Kerby will talk with Kathy Ward about how you can get involved in your local elections. Ryan and Selena Frederick are Kerby Anderson’s next guests. This couple has written a great book about having a “Fierce Marriage.” And joining Kerby in the final hour is Brian Finn. He’ll be letting us know about AOE Media, a faith-based, award-winning, film and media production company. Brian’s current project is a movie titled “Resilience & the Last Spike.”

They aren’t psychologists, counselors, therapists, or academics. They’re just a guy and a girl who are learning how to build a marriage that is centered on Christ. The knowledge and advice they offer is purely editorial and journalistic.
Their home church is Gospel Life Church in Puyallup WA. They’re extremely thankful for teaching that is faithful to the Bible and persistent about reminding them to find their worth and value in Christ alone, and in what he has done on the cross.
They are both entrepreneurs, artists, high school sweethearts and UW Huskies (go Dawgs!). Ryan is a web developer by trade, though most of his time is spent writing nowadays. He is an avid proponent of the Oxford Comma (as you’ll see in his writing). Selena is indifferent. Selena loves horses and used to be a professional equestrian photographer. They lived in Zurich, Switzerland for a time and it nearly killed one of them (literally). They have two daughters, Dela (sugar and spice) and Clementine (fire and ice). If there was a cute meter they’d both blow it up. They have two dogs that they love: an Australian Shepherd named Macy and a Jack Russell Terrier named Bentley.
They have written a handful of books.
When Ryan survived, they both realized that they still had a future together. But the near loss changed the way they saw all that would lie ahead. They would live and love fiercely, fighting for each other and for a Christ-centered marriage, every step of the way.
Fierce Marriage is their story, but more than that, it is a call for married couples to put God first in their relationship, to measure everything they do and say to each other against what Christ did for them, and to see marriage not just as a relationship they should try to keep healthy but also as one worth fighting for in every situation. With the gospel as their foundation, Ryan and Selena offer hope and practical help for common struggles in marriage, including communication problems, sexual frustration, financial stress, family tension, screen-time disconnection, and unrealistic expectations.
Brian has made film making his life as Director, Producer, Stunt Coordinator and Production Designer. He started the company, Line 204, which currently has 12 stages right in the center of Hollywood. The company supplies everything from simple director’s chairs to complete grip and lighting packages for projects all over the world. His first job was on the Michael Jackson video project “Black or White” as a production assistant where he did everything from set design, to special FX, to being the personal assistant to Director John Landis. He has been completely hooked ever since.
Currently Brian is working on his own film project “Resilience and the Last Spike.” It’s about an 11-year-old adventurer named Resilience (Rizzy) O’Neil and her family camping and exploring the remote Utah desert. While Rizzy is trying to discover for herself the mystery of a lost treasure, she is violently separated from her family, and must now face the wild expanse of the desert in order to find help. She faces intense heat, thirst, hunger, treacherous terrain, deadly creatures, turbulent weather, all in a land designed to crush the living. Rizzy must call on all her wits, strength, skill, and faith to beat the clock and save her family, and just maybe, a piece of history too!
