Author, blogger, and mother of five Kay Wills Wyma has learned that if we're going to be overwhelmed by anything, let's have it be Truth with all its grace, hope, peace, and love. In this freeing book, she shares how to confront life's pressures we face--at home, online, at work, in our relationships, on our calendars--and replace all those heavy expectations with the liberating truth that we were made for something better. Through her inspiring personal stories sprinkled with a dash of humor, she gives readers permission to step back, let go, and find fulfillment and freedom in a life lived in light of eternity.
Kris has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wake Forest University and a Masters in Communication from Regent University. Kris is a highly skilled public speaker combining her extensive education, real-life media experience, talents as a senior leader in Premier Designes, inc., years of being a professor at various higher-education institutions, and her multiple motivational presentations before thousands of people.
Kris is a first-time author, pastor's wife, former Navy widow, mom to four children and grandmother. Kris is ultimately a down-to-earth woman who loves her family and lives life to the fullest in East Tennessee.
Sue is also a committed volunteer fundraiser in her community and has served on numerous nonprofit boards. Prior to joining The Hope Center team, Sue was Director of Program Development for Just Say YES, Youth Equipped to Succeed helping at risk teens. She also spent 12 years as Director of Development at Trinity Christian Academy where she completed three capital campaigns and raised funds for scholarship aid.
She and her husband, Dan, have two grown children and three grandchildren, and have been active members and lay leaders at Northwest Bible Church since graduating from college.
Part two will feature Os Guinness, Senior Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, worldwide speaker, and advocate of religious freedom. Closely following his upcoming book Last Call for Liberty, Os will speak on the hostility of our nation, and how “America’s genius for freedom has become its greatest threat.”
Os was born in China during World War II where his parents were medical missionaries. A witness to the climax of the Chinese revolution in 1949, he was expelled with many other foreigners in 1951 and returned to Europe where he graduated from the University of London then Oriel College, Oxford. Os has written or edited more than 30 books, was a freelance reporter with the BBC, and, as Executive Director of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation from 1986-1989, helped draft "The Williamsburg Charter" and "The Global Charter of Conscience."
