George Lynch joined the board of Traffick911 in 2012 and grew his knowledge by serving on Traffick911's Strategic Planning committee, becoming President of the Traffick911 Board, and ultimately CEO in 2014. He serves on the Dallas County Child Sex Trafficking Multi-Disciplinary Team, Tarrant County Child Sex Trafficking Multi-Disciplinary Team, the North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking, the C7 Human Trafficking Coalition, Fort Worth's 5-Stones Task Force, PureHope's advisory board, and the core team of CEASE Network Dallas (Cities Empowered Against Sexual Exploitation).
What is human trafficking?
Human trafficking is slavery. It's the commodification and objectification of human beings. At it's essence, it is the exploitation of vulnerability. The Global Slavery Index estimates 40 million slaves are in the world today. The two most common forms of human trafficking are commercial sex trade and forced labor. The International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that 98% of sex trafficking victims across the globe are women and children.
It is a highly-organized and lucrative business, with the traffickers making $150 billion a year (globally) buying and selling people for their profit and pleasure; about $99 billion of that is from the forced commercial sex trade, according to an ILO report, and the other $51 billion is from forced work, including construction, mining, agriculture and domestic servitude. The profits are huge and the risk of being prosecuted is slim - the United Nations says 99% of victims are never rescued.

Jason Benham graduated Liberty University, played minor league baseball, and, with his twin brother David, founded a real estate company that prepared foreclosed homes for resale. HGTV hired them to star in a new home improvement show "Flip it Forward," but canceled the show just before it premiered, because of the Benhams' personal beliefs about same-sex marriage and abortion. The Benhams are now motivational speakers and businessmen. They're also the authors of Whatever the Cost, Living Among Lions, and Miracle in Shreveport. Jason is married to Tori Benham and they have four children. He lives in Charlotte, NC, on the same street as his brother.
