After leaving the Reagan White House, Bauer became President of the Family Research Council and a Senior Vice President of Focus on the Family.
Bauer took his pro-family, pro-life message across the country during the 2000 Republican presidential primaries and debates.
Today, Bauer serves as Chairman of Campaign for Working Families PAC, dedicated to electing conservative candidates to Congress, and as President of American Values, an educational non-profit organization. He writes a weekly column at Human Events and co-hosts a weekend talk show on Sirius/XM Radio.
In 1973, Bauer received his law degree from Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C. He is married to the former Carol Hoke, and lives in Virginia. Gary and Carol have three grown children.

Debbie has been singing since the tender age of four and her love for music continues to this day. She started singing in her birth country of Caracas, Venezuela in a weekly-televised variety show called "Las Voces Blancas". In her teen years in the Rio Grande Valley, she continued to sing in school choir, church, weddings, and was the lead singer in a jazz band. Debbie also sang radio jingles for some Rio Grande Valley businesses, which included Hidalgo Savings and Broadway Hardware. Mrs. D’Souza is also a recording artist, and former Worship Leader. Her voice can be heard at the end of Hillary’s America singing God Bless America and can be seen in Death of a Nation singing O America. Debbie is married to Conservative best selling author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza . Together they have 3 grown children.
He is the third of four generations of military servicemen in his family. During his 22 year career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones and received many honors including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals, one with Valor device, and a Valorous Unit Award. In 1993 he was named the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year.
In November of 2010, Allen was elected to the United States Congress, representing Florida’s 22nd District. As a member of the 112th Congress, he sat on the Small Business and Armed Services Committees and was instrumental in passage of the 2011 and 2012 National Defense Authorization Acts.
He is a Fox News Contributor, contributing columnist for Townhall.com, and author of Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Faith, Family and Freedom.
He is the former Executive Director of the National Center for Policy Analysis in Dallas Texas.
LTC West holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee as well as two Masters degrees, one from Kansas State University and another from the US Army Command and General Staff Officers College.
West is an avid distance runner, a Master SCUBA diver, a motorcyclist, and in his spare time he enjoys cheering his beloved Tennessee Volunteers.
