Economist | Politician | Consultant | Advisor | Lobbiest | Author
Richard Keith (Dick) Armey was born in Cando, ND on July 7, 1940. He is an American economist and politician. He was a U.S. Representative from Texas's 26th congressional district (1985–2003) and House Majority Leader (1995–2003). He was one of the engineers of the "Republican Revolution" of the 1990s, in which Republicans were elected to majorities of both houses of Congress for the first time in four decades. Armey was one of the chief authors of the Contract with America. Armey is also an author and former economics professor. After his retirement from Congress, he has worked as a consultant, advisor, and lobbyist.
Leader
With few exceptions, every law that was passed in Congress for eight years required Majority Leader Dick Armey's decision to put it on the floor of the U. S. House of Representatives. Leader Armey describes how Congress works and details important but little-known outcomes like deceptive government practices, legislative aftershock, and government by disguise.

From his early childhood in Cando, North Dakota through his years in leadership including 9/11, the Iraq War, government shutdowns, political intrigue, and the tea party, Leader Armey candidly discusses his experiences during an important period in American history.

Why Young Men Become Shooters
Rampage shooters tend to be losers. The archetype of the modern school shooter, Eric Harris, frequently wrote in his diary about his feelings of alienation and resentment over his lack of social success.
