William J. Federer is a best-selling author and nationally known speaker. A Christian and conservative, Bill travels the country speaking in over 100 cities a year and has written more than 20 books. Over a half-million copies of his book America's God and Country: Encyclopedia of Quotations have been sold. Federer’s daily radio feature “American Minute” and popular television program “Faith in History” broadcast nationally.

Fifth of eleven children, William J. Federer grew up in St, Louis, Missouri. He studied at the University of Dallas from 1976-1978, in Rome, Italy in 1978, and graduated with a degree in Business from St. Louis University in 1980. Bill is a husband and father, married to his wife Susie since May 2, 1981.

A former Congressional Candidate, Bill is an original signer of the Manhattan Declaration, has served on numerous advisory boards and has worked in real estate, oil & gas, and religious organizations. He has been featured on The 700 Club, Fox, Newsmax, OAN, Washington Times, and many, many more.

Before entering full-time ministry, Smithbaker served for 15 years as president and CEO of Brunton Outdoor Group, a leading manufacturer of outdoor adventure products. In 2005, Smithbaker launched the Fathers in the Field ministry to share God’s abiding love with fatherless boys through mentorship with godly men in their local church. His desire is to be a catalyst for the Kingdom by “defending the cause of the fatherless,” pointing others to the Heavenly Father’s eternal power, forgiveness and faithfulness.
