For the last three months, National Guard troops have been deployed to several cities in the country. Unfortunately, one of the major reasons for this urban crackdown is rarely mentioned in the media.

Edward Ring writes about the broader reasons for deploying troops. When we discussed this recently on our roundtable on radio, neither of my politically aware guests were aware of the extent of the dangers in our cities.

He explains, “America is being systematically corrupted by foreign crime organizations. These gangs not only have access to staggering profits from drugs and human trafficking, but they have also formed partnerships and gained access to the resources of hostile nations.” The Department of Homeland Security estimates that about $20-30 billion in cash from drug sales travels annually from the U.S. into Mexico. But that is not all, since “nobody crosses without paying the cartels.”

It isn’t just the American cities that are vulnerable. Foreign gangs have established themselves everywhere in this country. These lethal gangs have hundred—billion-dollar budgets. Law enforcement in these rural areas cannot cope with these criminal organizations.

Another concern is the presence of state actors that are hostile to the U.S. Groups from China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela are working to support forces of chaos. This would include insurgent organizations like Antifa.

Instead of the legacy media covering these threats, most of the major news organizations merely portray the attempts to stop these groups as but another example of President Trump’s authoritarianism. The urban crackdown isn’t an attack on democracy but an attempt to prevent a true attack on American democracy.
