Border Wall

Rubin - Carlson split screen
By: David Rubin – – December 12, 2018

David Rubin, the former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, explained on Wednesday how building a border wall between Israel and Egypt was completely effective in prohibiting illegal immigration.

Rubin said that the amount of rapes and murders in southern Tel Aviv “skyrocketed” between 2010 and 2012, when around 55,000 illegal immigrants entered the country.

In 2016, he continued, after the Israeli government built a steel wall between the border of Egypt and Israel, only 11 illegal immigrants entered the country.

“And then they raised the height of the wall an additional several feet and in 2017, there was not one illegal immigrant that made it through the southern border into Israel,” he added. “It works.”

Carlson then asked Rubin if anyone labeled the Israeli government as “racist” for keeping illegal immigrants out of the country.

Rubin, who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, replied that some on the left were “going crazy” and protesting.

He also called Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s comparison of the Central American caravan and Jews families fleeing Nazi Germany “obscene.”

“I’ve heard it too many times from the left,” he said. “So, yes, there were some on the Israeli left that were complaining and who were even accusing the Israeli government of racism, but the fact is that now, nobody’s complaining.”

“Everyone is happy that we don’t have illegal immigration in Israel.”
