Trump called the judge’s ruling a ‘major, crucial WIN for America’ and its national security.

A federal judge in Texas blocked the Biden administration from selling parts of the border wall on Friday, preventing the outgoing president from disposing any further construction materials over the next 30 days.

President Joe Biden’s administration was transporting unused panels intended for the southern border wall to a government auction site where pieces would sell for as low as $5, the Daily Wire reported in a bombshell report published earlier this month.

The move was seen as an apparent effort to obstruct president-elect Donald Trump’s plans to secure the border upon his inauguration.

U.S. District judge Drew Tipton’s court order prohibits Biden from auctioning off border wall materials before Trump takes office next month. The incoming president is expected to restart construction of the barrier along the southern border to cut down on the flow of illegal immigration into the U.S.

The order also requires the current administration to provide documentation proving it did not violate an injunction that required the spending of statutorily obligated funds on border wall construction. The federal government allegedly redirected the money from the project illegally. It was required to use $1.4 billion in funds that Congress allocated to build the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Several trucks were seen carrying sections of the steel wall near Tucson, Ariz., considered to be a major hotspot for illegal crossings. The video was recorded by a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent, who told the Daily Wire that up to half a mile of unused border wall panels were being moved per day.

The materials were left unused after Biden paused construction of the border wall and scrapped Trump’s strict immigration policies in 2021. A recent court order, also issued by Tipton, directed the sitting president to resume construction with the money appropriated by Congress for that particular use.

Following the explosive report, Texas attorney general Ken Paxton first moved to stop the sales of border wall materials by requesting a court hearing. The outcome of the hearing went in his favor.

“This follows our major victory forcing Biden to build the wall,” Paxton said in celebration of the federal judge’s decision, “and we will hold his Administration accountable for illegally subverting our Nation’s border security until their very last day in power, especially where their actions are clearly motivated by a desire to thwart President-elect Trump’s immigration agenda.”

Trump, who also demanded a hearing over the border wall sales, called the judge’s ruling a “major, crucial WIN for America” and its national security in a Truth Social post Saturday morning.

“A Federal Judge in Texas, based on papers we filed just a few days ago, has PROHIBITED the Biden Administration from selling any materials designated for the Border Wall, that has been wrecked by Biden and his cronies, and which I am going to rebuild in order to protect our Country from violent migrant crime, fentanyl smuggling, sex trafficking, terror attacks, and other heinous, Nation ending disasters,” Trump wrote in part.

“The Judge has also ordered an investigation into the illegal selling of the materials, which will expose just how corrupt and anti-American Radical Democrats are,” he added. “We have to protect our Borders, and Save America.”
