They married and based their life together on the biblical verse, “As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15.) Individually and together they have written over 140 books, pastored a church in the United States for thirty years, and founded a media ministry called Telling the Truth that broadcasts daily on air and online across the world. They have three children and thirteen grandchildren. Jill’s life verse now is Ps 71:18

Jill Stanek’s commitment to Christ led her to risk her job, reputation, and friendships to stop the terrible practices of abortion and infanticide. Jill was a registered nurse at Christ Hospital in Illinois when she made the shocking discovery that babies were being aborted alive and allowed to die without medical care. Jill went public and has since become a national figure in the effort to protect both born and pre-born infants. In January 2003, Jill was named by World Magazine as one of the 30 most prominent pro-life leaders in the movement over the past 30 years. In July 2015, Jill joined Susan B. Anthony List and now serves as Community Outreach Director for SBA’s project PLAN, the Pregnancy and Life Assistance Network. Her PLAN is helping prepare states to safeguard pregnant mothers and babies in a post-Roe America. Jill is a member of Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park, Illinois. She has been wife to Rich for 40 years; mother to three married children; and grandmother to 13 grandsons and one granddaughter! She has addressed many groups at the local, national, and international levels sharing her testimony and giving an insider’s view to the atrocity of abortion.

As one of the principal songwriters for one of America’s more accomplished and top-selling groups, Hootie and the Blowfish, Jim (Soni) Sonefeld (drummer and writer of the hits) has had a lot of ups and downs, struggles and very bad highs. As he toured the world, fell into drugs, alcohol, sex, and more. He hit the ROCK Bottom so many in this lifestyle do. After the ego and wild days got a shock treatment, he has emerged as a man focused on his faith, his family, and a message of hope and redemption. From his beginnings in the Chicago area as a storied, yet troubled soccer phenom, to his days as a player for University of South Carolina, to an unexpected ask to drum for the college “band”, he never really slowed down and applied his true talents. But once he did, he excelled. In sports and in his music/songwriting and the rest is history, as they say. His recovery found him a new man with new meaning, a shift in his songwriting that has led to a catalogue of CCM-eques music. As he takes time to speak to groups on his path to recovery, he sprinkles in some music, and it is a strong and powerful place to be. Soni will precede the release of EP Remember Tomorrow with the release of his first book (memoir); Swimming with the Blowfish: Hootie, Healing, and One Hell of a Ride; on June 28, 2022.
