shley McGuire is a Senior Fellow with The Catholic Association. Ashley writes and speaks widely about religious freedom, Catholicism, and women. She has appeared on CNN and its international affiliate, CBS, FOX, PBS, EWTN, and the BBC, and her writing has appeared in The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, USA TODAY, TIME magazine, First Things, RealClearPolitics, The Weekly Standard, The Federalist, the New York Post, and The Huffington Post, among others. In March of 2013, Ashley traveled to Rome to cover the papal conclave and appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper and gave live commentary for outlets such as FOX News, CNN, and the BBC. In April of 2014, she traveled to Geneva to testify at the United Nations in defense of the Holy See. She has spoken about the pro-life movement, religious liberty, and feminism in academic settings such as New York University and Yale Law School as well as in rallies around the country. She is a founding editor of altFem, a web magazine devoted to the exploration of faith and gender, a 2011 recipient of the Phillips Foundation Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship, an editor of the Institute for Family Studies blog, a policy fellow with the American Conservative Union Foundation, and the first ever Richard John Neuhaus Fellow at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. Ashley is a recipient of the Susan B. Anthony List’s Young Pro-Life Leader award. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and two children.

By meeting a real need of offering practical help to improve people's families, thousands attend their training sessions. These are live streamed on their Facebook page: Healthy Families Foundation for anyone to watch and learn. Ashley started off in Botswana 25 years ago with the International Mission Board (IMB) working with youth. She then worked with IMB travelling around America speaking at conferences mobilizing people to be missionaries, before moving to Ottawa Canada for 4 years to work with NAMB as a church planter. After their time in Canada, the Thabas moved back to Botswana. Ashley has published 3 books which can be found on Amazon titled Conquering the Giants, Dive In, and Making Marriages Fun.

She also serves as the editor-in-chief of our annual magazine, develops our print and digital educational content, builds strategic partnerships nationally, and ministers our message to audiences across the country. She is a graduate and fan of Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) where she studied Merchandising, Marketing, and English, as well as an alumna of a ministry/discipleship training program called the Kanakuk Institute. Aszia is from the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and is grateful that her journey with pureHOPE–starting as a 2012 intern in our Cincinnati office–brought her back home where she enjoys being close to family, friends and tex-mex and where she recently met and married her husband, Kyle.

Ruse has also briefed senior government officials, journalists, Church and non-governmental leaders from around the world. He has appeared on a number of national cable network programs discussing UN and Catholic issues, including news programs on CNN, CBS News, MSNBC, and Fox News. He is a former foreign affairs commentator for EWTN’s weekly news broadcast The World Over hosted by Raymond Arroyo. In recognition of Ruse’s commitment and leadership in the effort to advance the sanctity of life he was awarded The Henry Hyde Life Leadership Award in 2010 by SpeakOut Illinois. Dennis Avi Lipkin, aka Victor Mordecai was born in Flushing, New York and grew up in the greater New York City area. He moved to Israel in 1968. Avi completed high school in New York and two years of college at New York University, Washington Square majoring in Sovietology and Spanish/Latin American studies at Hebrew University. He served in the IDF from for a year as part of the IDF spokesman for the Judea and Samaria Command. His reserves duty includes artillery reserves 1973 to 1989 and then as an officer in the IDF Spokesman’s Office from 1989 to 2001. Avi has worked in different capacities in international commerce based in Jerusalem. He has also worked as senior editor and translator in the News Department of the Government Press Office as part of Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir’s office at Beit Agron. In the early nineties, Avi began lecturing in Christian churches and synagogues in the US as well as appearing on radio and TV, and in 1991 he studied at the Jewish Theological Seminary as part of the MA program. He has spoken in over 1,000 churches and synagogues internationally and has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows worldwide. He has written five books: Is Fanatic Islam a Global Threat? Christian Revival for Israel’s Survival, Islamic Threat Updates Almanac #1, Israel’s Bible Bloc, and Islam Prophesied In Genesis. Avi is married to Rachel, they have two sons and 8 grandchildren.
